Apporo platform Account & Data Deletion
Last updated: September 26, 2026
First, one important point: your account is not held by Apporo. It lives on the Odoo server your organization hosts. The App has no account system of its own, so an account is deleted on your organization's Odoo; we help you make the request and pass it to your organization.
In the App, tap Settings → Delete Account to open this page at any time. That entry only opens this page and does not delete anything immediately; make the actual request as described in section 2.
1. Which kind of account do you have?
| Account type | Where it comes from | How to delete |
|---|---|---|
| Portal account (Odoo portal user) |
Set up by your organization for external users such as customers or partners | Self-service deletion, method A in section 2; method B (email) also works |
| Employee account (Odoo internal user) |
Created by your organization's administrator, usually linked to an employee record and attendance | The account belongs to your organization and has no self-service deletion; the administrator handles it — method B in section 2 |
If you are not sure which kind you have, email us using method B and we will help.
2. How to request deletion
Method A: self-service (portal accounts only, can be done inside the App)
- In the App, sign in to the connection you want to delete.
- Open My Account → Security on that Odoo site (path
/my/security, also reachable from the user menu after signing in). - Scroll to the Delete Account section at the bottom and confirm as instructed.
- Odoo deactivates (archives) your account and creates a deletion request; a scheduled job then attempts to delete the account permanently (see section 4).
Method B: by email (all account types)
- Email [email protected], preferably from the email address registered on your account.
- Subject: "Account deletion request — Apporo platform".
- Include: the server address and database name you connect to (the two values you enter at sign-in), your login, your organization's name, and what you want deleted (the whole account, or specific data).
No form is needed and no password is required — we will never ask for your password.
3. Verification, timelines and confirmation
- Who handles requests: Apporo receives and handles deletion requests; the developer, WOOW TECH CO., LTD., assists on Apporo's behalf with technical matters and deletion work.
- Identity verification: the request must come from the same email address that is registered on your account; otherwise your organization's Odoo administrator must confirm your identity.
- Acknowledgement: we confirm receipt by email within 5 business days.
- Completion: we complete the request within 30 days of receipt.
- Employee accounts: an employee account belongs to your organization and is deleted by that organization's Odoo administrator. Within the timelines above we forward your request to the administrator, with a copy to you, and help complete the deletion.
- Completion notice: when the request is complete, we email you what was deleted and what was retained under law or your organization's policy.
4. What is deleted
| Item | What happens |
|---|---|
| Odoo user account (login, password, sessions) | Deactivated (archived) first, so it can no longer sign in; Odoo deletes it permanently where possible. If other business records still reference it, it stays archived |
| Push device records (push token, device name, platform, last-seen time) | Deleted together with the account when the account is permanently deleted. If the account is only archived, the records stay on the server until your organization's administrator deletes them; we ask the administrator to do so when handling your request. You can also sign out or remove the connection in the App first — the App then asks the server to delete this device's record |
| Profile data (name, email, avatar, etc., depending on your organization's Odoo) | Handled by that Odoo's account-deletion process |
| Support correspondence and request records held by Apporo | Deleted on request, except records we must keep to show we handled your request (see section 5) |
| Local data on your device | At any time you can remove the connection in the App (clears that connection's account data, password, session and web data) or uninstall the App (removes all of the App's local data, including photo copies taken inside the App) |
5. What is kept, and for how long
Some data does not disappear with the account. Please be aware of this before making a request.
| Data kept | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Business records you created at work (clock-ins, messages and comments, documents you handled, uploaded attachments) | They are your organization's operating records and often include other people's work and transactions the organization must keep | Decided by your organization under its policies and the law |
| Data the law requires to be kept (for example accounting, tax and employment records) | Legal obligations; not used for anything else | The statutory period under applicable law, kept by your organization |
| Connection logs and backups on your organization's servers | Operations and disaster recovery; historical backups are not rewritten for a single request | Your organization's or its IT provider's rotation cycle |
| Apporo's record of your deletion request (date, scope, outcome) | To show we handled your request lawfully | Until the request is completed, then for as long as needed to show it was handled lawfully; then deleted |
| Apporo system backups | Disaster recovery | At most 30 days on a rotating cycle; deleted data disappears from backups as they rotate |
| Notification content already sent (only once push notifications are available) | Passed through Google (and Apple on iOS) during delivery | Under Google's / Apple's terms, outside the App's control; see section 8.3 of the Privacy Policy |
6. These are not account deletion
- Removing a connection in the App: clears local data on this phone only; the account on the server still exists.
- Uninstalling the App: same as above, this phone only.
- Signing out: ends the current session only.
- Clearing the cache: clears cached web content and site storage; it does not sign you out or delete the account.
- Turning off notifications: only stops notifications from being shown.
- A disabled account: the account and its data still exist; it just cannot sign in.
To actually delete your account, make a request as described in section 2.
7. Each server is handled separately
If you have connected the App to several Odoo servers, each is a separate account. Deleting the account on one server does not affect the others, and does not revoke the push token that other connections on this device still use. State clearly which server's account you want deleted; to delete them all, list each one.
