Troubleshooting
The app cannot reach your home, or something has stopped working.
The app cannot connect
- Open the server address in the phone's browser. If that fails too, the problem is the network or the server, not the app.
- On the home Wi-Fi, check the local address. Away from home, check a remote address is set and uses HTTPS.
- If the address starts with
http://and you are away from home, the app blocks it on purpose — see Security levels.
Sign-in fails or loops
- Check the username and password work in a browser on the same phone.
- If sign-in returns to the start without an error, the server may have been reached at a different address than the one the app is holding — remove the server and add it again.
- After an app update you may be asked to sign in once more. That is expected.
Everything is slow
Check whether the app is using the remote address while you are at home: that sends your traffic out to the internet and back. See Home network.
Collecting logs for support
Settings → Troubleshooting has the app's log. Share it when you contact support — see Contact support for what else to include.
