Tag addresses and universal links
The address written onto a tag, and how it opens the app.
A tag holds an ordinary web address. That is deliberate: it means the tag works from anything that can open a link, not only from NFC.
The format
Tags written by the app carry an address under the Apporo aiot brand host, ending in a unique identifier for that tag. Your server matches the identifier to an automation.
Using the address without NFC
Because it is a normal address, you can put the same link in a shortcut, a QR code, or a message. Anyone who opens it and is signed in to your home will trigger the same automation — so treat a tag address as something that unlocks your home, and do not post it publicly.
